The trade show season is picking up again, after a couple of calmer summer weeks. The first event on the calendar: the 45th ‘CIGRE Session’, a five-day conference of the Council on Large Electric Systems (CIGRE). From 25 to 29 August, around 8,000 Transmission and Distribution (T&D) specialists will gather at the Palais des Congrès in Paris to discover new insights and innovations in electric power systems. Siemens and PSI are among the over 200 companies that will be exhibiting their latest technologies and services. Both are using Barco products to showcase their solutions.
Energize a successful future
At booth #268 of the CIGRE trade show, Siemens will be presenting its most advanced high-, low- and medium-voltage products, transformers, power transmission and smart grid solutions, all designed to 'energize a successful future'. The Siemens booth includes a Barco OverView OLS video wall, in a 2x2 set-up, which is driven by an NGP-400 display controller. Ensuring ultimate redundancy, the LED-lit, 3D-capable OLS video wall is the ideal visualization solution for control rooms that require a guaranteed uptime. PSI, an expert in software for utilities and industry, therefore chose a similar OLS video wall to display its solutions at booth 301. The PSI stand further hosts a Barco NSL-5521 LCD wall.
The power system of the future
Headquartered in Paris, CIGRE assembles more than 2,500 experts from all around the world working actively together to design and deploy the Power System of the future. Over 12,000 researchers, academics, engineers, technicians, suppliers and other decision-makers, in more than 90 countries are members of CIGRE. The upcoming 'CIGRE Session', which takes place every two years, is an ideal opportunity for CIGRE to share its insights and unveil innovations to T&D experts, during conferences, technical meetings, workshops, networking events and an exhibition.
