Symptom
The NMS server is not reachable on the workstation were NMS is installed.

NMS service
Check if the NMS service is running
Go to Start -> My Computer -> Right mouse -> Manage -> Services
Java version and settings
The installed Java version 8 64-bit needs to be installed for NMS 1.08 and later.
Java version 6 or 7 for NMS 1.06
Verify if the java path is added to the path environment variable
Check if the path contains C:\Program Files\java\jre7\ for Java version 7 or C:\Program Files\java\jre8\bin for Java version 8.
IP settings
Check the IP configuration in windows or in the command prompt.
Then verify if the same ip address in configured in the tanuki.shared.properties file: C:\ProgramData\Barco\NMS\JBoss7\standalone\data\tanuki.shared.properties Edit tanuki.shared.properties
Check permissions
Give write permissions on the NMS folder located in C:\ProgramData\Barco\
Open Explorer -> Right click “C:\ProgramData\Barco\NMS” and select “Properties”
Go to “Security” and click “Edit”
Select “Users” and check “Full control”
Click “Apply“
