From excitement to belonging: Dimple Rawat’s story at Barco

When Dimple Rawat walked into Barco on February 29, 2012, she felt a sense of excitement and optimism. Now, over a decade later, that feeling has evolved into a deep sense of belonging. “Looking back, I realize how much I’ve learned through various business transformations,” she reflects, “and there’s still so much more to learn.”

Dimple’s journey at Barco has been marked by constant evolution, both in her role as Head of HR-India and within the company itself. From the SAP implementation to the Agile transformation, she’s been at the forefront of numerous digital advancements. “I’ve never felt stagnant,” she says. “There’s always something new to discover.”

The last few years have brought significant challenges—everything from talent shortages and the Great Resignation to the rise of artificial intelligence in the workplace. Yet, Barco has emerged stronger through these shifts. “AI has brought mixed feelings among employees,” Dimple notes, “but the reality is that humans and AI will coexist.”

For Dimple, one of the most significant changes has been in Barco’s work culture. “We’ve moved from seven core values to three key cultural values: Customer Orientation, Impactful Innovation, and Winning Collaboration,” she explains. As part of the core culture team, Dimple has witnessed firsthand how these values have empowered employees across the globe.

When asked about the most valuable lessons she’s learned at Barco, Dimple doesn’t hesitate. “Agility and adaptability are essential,” she says. “The ability to embrace change and communicate effectively with our teams is key to navigating transformation.”

Looking ahead, Dimple is excited about the advancements in the HR field, from digital transformation and diversity initiatives to employee well-being programs. “The future of HR is all about real-time information and continuous learning,” she says.
