Barco is all geared up for the 6th edition of ‘Hospital Build & Infrastructure Middle East’, taking place from 2 to 4 June. We’ve prepared a great booth, where we will showcase our latest medical innovations. In addition to that, we’re extremely excited, as we’ve been nominated for an award. We’re shortlisted for the ‘Hospital Build & Infrastructure Award’ in the category ‘ Best Technology Initiative’ for the installation of our market-leading CareConnex interactive patient care solution deployed across 140 beds in the King Fahad Medical City (KFMC), the Riyadh-based hospital.
Best Technology Initiative Award
In 2013, KFMC, Saudi Arabia’s largest healthcare facility, selected CareConnex, Barco’s interactive patient care solution powered by Hospedia, to enhance patient comfort and clinical workflow at its Rehabilitation Hospital. The project included the installation of 140 widescreen bedside terminals, mounting arms, back-office systems and CareConnex interactive patient care software. CareConnex offers a host of interactive applications for healthcare professionals (access to the Hospital Information System (HIS), patient educational videos, etc.) as well as an innovative, triple-play patient infotainment system, comprising radio, TV and Internet services. Both patients and healthcare workers love the all-in-one solution.
Prestigious nomination
Healthcare professionals clearly appreciate CareConnex too, as King Fahad Medical City project has now been shortlisted for the ‘2014 Hospital Build and Infrastructure Award’ in the category ‘Best Technology Initiative Award’. The winner will be announced on Monday, during a dedicated ceremony at Hospital Build & Infrastructure Middle East. Keep an eye on the newsroom to see if we’ve won!
