Users will see the wePresent admin webpage as unsecured connection, so wePresent admin webpage provides the self-signed certificate to make the connection secure (https). Here we’ll take Google Chrome as an example in the following to show you how to install a self-signed certificate to your web browser to make the connection secure.
The procedure below only applicable for WiCS-2100 with firmware version 1.5 and above and WiPG-1600W with firmware version 2.5 and above.

Procedure
- Open Google Chrome and enter the IP address of your wePresent device in the URL bar.
- Download the self-signed certificate from the wePresent admin webpage.
- Go to the Settings > Privacy and security> Manage certificates in Google Chrome.
- Go to Trusted Root Certification Authorities and click Import…
- Click Next and then click Browse… to select the certificate you'd downloaded.
- Click Next.
- Check the option Place all certificates in the following stores and then click Next.
- Click Finish.
- A Security Warning message pops up. Click Yes and then click OK to finish the import.
- Open Google Chrome and enter the hostname/IP address of the wePresent device in the URL bar.
- Click the lock icon in the URL bar Connection is secure message is visible.
