If your device runs ancient firmware, fails to update properly or something went wrong, it might need a reset.
You can reflash the firmware of your device by installing the latest ISO file.
➡This process requires a computer (on the same network as the node) and a USB Key that can be erased with at least 2Gb storage capacity.
Step 1: Prepare a bootable USB Key
Required:- Log in as an institute manager or partner to your institute.
- Go to the admin UI (ex: institute.edu.barco.com/admin).
- Select tab Tools.
- Download the latest ISO image from this location.
- Deploy this image onto the USB flash drive using an application like Balena Etcher, Win32DiskImager or any similar alternative.
Step 2: Install the firmware in the node
- Switch off the node by pressing the power button.
- Connect the USB flash drive to any of the USB ports of the node.
- Power on the node using the power button. The installation of the new firmware automatically starts after one minute. Installation usually takes ~ 20 minutes.
- Wait for the installation to be finished, and the node will power off automatically.
- Unplug the USB flash drive.
- Boot the node: It now has the latest firmware installed and shows "Ready for pairing" on display.
Step 3: Replace the device within the institute
- Open the pairing tool and connect with the institute as explained in weConnect - How to pair devices (nodes).
- Now replace the device as explained in weConnect - How to pair devices (nodes), "Case 2: Replace an existing device".
- The device is now paired and configured as before.
