Discover the new capabilities in video
Discover how to use the new capabilities as a participant and as host/operator
Known issue
- When multiple hosts/operators in the same session are moving participants in various breakout groups at the same time (during the same second), it could lead to participants' duplication in the breakout view.
Recommendation: Multiple hosts/operators in the same session should not apply changes to a breakout composition concurrently. - An operator who switches to the participant view during the session will appear in the breakout view and will be able to participate in the breakout. To prevent disruption of the breakout composition, we recommend keeping operators in the unassigned group or avoiding switching to the participant view.
- As a participant, when sharing your screen during a breakout room session, you don’t see the content you are sharing as an additional content channel.
- The remote host cannot join a breakout session.
Bug fixes
- Host User Interface (UI) configured on the dedicated confidence monitor can be used to control the breakout sessions
- Deselecting a channel in the channel selector does not change the resolution of the thumbnail, the thumbnail remains full resolution and full fps
- Breakout rooms: when the host/operator switches between different tabs the breakout group, the composition is kept
- Breakout rooms: Safari users can mute/unmute audio and video during the breakout session
- Breakout rooms: the correct Breakout Group name is now displayed in the participant user interface
- The collaborative whiteboard doesn’t freeze anymore when taking snapshots
Technical information
Node firmware: v2.1.2-b97 v2.1.2-b103
The latest version of the Barco Pairing Tool: v2.4.1
Prerequisites:
The 3.0 update requires the software on the display nodes to be upgraded to v2.1.2-b97 v2.1.2-b103. You can control when to allow this update by disabling the “block automatic devices updates” option in the “general” tab on the admin interface. Disabling this feature will allow devices to start upgrading, typically at night. You can test this new v2.1.2-b97 v2.1.2-b103 version prior to enabling a full roll-out by executing a force upgrade action on individual devices from the device tab in the admin interface, even if automatic updates are blocked.
Please check the software version of spare devices: if the software version is too old (before v1.8) they will potentially need to be flashed with more recent software. It is best to connect spare display nodes every 6 months to keep the software up to date using the automatic update mechanisms.
