A new way of presenting cars

On 13 November 2017 , Dongfeng Fengguang released an SUV aimed at a younger market. The high level of detail incorporated into the design of the new model needed to be highlighted to demonstrate the sophistication of the Dongfeng Fengguang S560. The sportiness and sturdiness of the vehicle needed to be shown. And last but not least, the presentation needed to entertain the audience and convince them that the Fengguang S560 was indeed the vehicle they were looking for.

A presentation combining lights and projections was clearly the road to take, especially since it was sure to amaze an audience and keep them on the edge of their seats. For its quality, reliability and overall accuracy, various Barco technology was chosen for the presentation. Numerous 4K projectors and an E2 screen management system combined to put the Fengguang S560 on center stage in a light show that offered the audience a splendid presentation. The E2 was chosen for being the first – and the only – processor with the ability to manage 4K projectors with a 60Hz refresh rate. Its outstanding output density and expandability were perfectly suited to the presentation.

In the meantime, 16 Barco UDX-4K32 projectors were on site. With brightness levels of up to 31,000 lumens, they were responsible for the main screen projection. Thanks to the amazing high-contrast optical engine and versatile Barco Pulse processing technology, the Fengguang S560 and its features could be presented in a powerful presentation that held the attention of the audience from beginning to end.

The Fengguang S560 presentation has demonstrated exactly what the latest Barco technology is capable of delivering. At the same time, it has opened the door to new possibilities for presentations that introduce all the attractive new features and innovations of a vehicle. The Barco technology has perhaps unintentionally underlined the link between science, technology and automobiles. Thanks to the successful and innovative presentation, there’s no doubt that this link will continue into the future.
