Once the Button is paired with a Base Unit (how to: see KB 5924), updating the configuration information and installing the latest firmware on the Button is done in the backend when the Button is in use i.e. when a Button is paired, the latest firmware installed on the Base Unit will load the new button firmware in the backend.
Note that the new firmware needs approximately 5 minutes to be transferred from the Base Unit to the Button, means that the Button needs to be plugged in into the laptop for at least 5 minutes.
