EcoVadis and CDP honor Barco with Gold Medal and Supplier Engagement Leader title for 2023 sustainability performance

In a year marked by significant sustainability achievements, we have been recognized with two prestigious honors: the 2023 EcoVadis Gold Medal and the CDP Supplier Engagement Leader title. These accolades underscore our ongoing commitment to setting higher standards for our sustainability efforts.

Barco ranks in EcoVadis top 5%

EcoVadis’ independent sustainability rating platform monitors the environmental, ethical, and social performance of companies worldwide. In 2023, Barco was awarded the EcoVadis Gold Medal. With an overall score of 71/100, we rank in the 94th percentile, significantly above the industry average. This achievement positions Barco among the top 5% of over 125,000 companies evaluated across 220+ sectors in more than 180 countries.

CDP carbon footprint reporting

As bold environmental action starts with accurate measurement and reporting, we annually report our carbon footprint to the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), benchmarking our environmental performance. CDP’s annual disclosure process is widely recognized as the gold standard for corporate environmental reporting. In 2023, we scored a B (Management band), matching the Europe regional average and exceeding the Electrical & Electronic Equipment sector average of C.

Supplier Engagement Leader

CDP also recognized us as a Supplier Engagement Leader, achieving an A score (Leadership band) for engaging with suppliers on climate change. This score is higher than the European regional average of B and the sector average of C. The Supplier Engagement Leaders title highlights companies proactively working with their suppliers to ensure climate change action cascades down their supply chains. We are committed to further strenghten our efforts on carbon emissions reduction by engaging with our suppliers.
