It is been reported that Trend Micro flags the ClickShare Button as threat or violation of security policy. The following message could appear:
Please be aware that the ClickShare Button is read-only and does not contain any viruses. TrendMicro flags the Button as a threat or violation is because the ClickShare executable is used as an icon. This facilitates ease of use for the end-user to locate the ClickShare App or Client in Windows Explorer.
How to turn off this warning
It is possible to turn off this warning. This can be done by following these steps:
- Navigate to your TrendMicro configuration page
- Navigate to Agents > Settings > Device Control Settings > Internal Agents
- Uncheck the Block the AutoRun function on USB storage device
- Don't forget to click the Save button afterwards
